The Details

When: August 21st | 9am - 12pm

Where: Drive-Through Check-In Vehicle Queue 

All incoming students need to sign up for Warrior Welcome and select a move-in timeslot. Click Register to get started and select your move-in timeslot. Be sure to add any parent/guest numbers so we can best serve you and your family upon arrival. 

Students living on campus will be directed through drive-through checkpoints ending with a final checkpoint station for vehicle unloading. Check-in times must be reserved through the Warrior Welcome rsvp. Arrive within your check-in timeslot and follow the signs for drive through check-in entry. Students with outstanding required documents and business office holds must take care of those items before move-in can occur. Jessup staff and student leaders will be available to help unload and move your belongings.

Warrior Welcome Collective Worship Night

We’re so excited to invite you to Warrior Welcome Collective Worship Night happening later this summer!

Join us on August 29 at Jessup University for a night of worship and community. Whether you’re coming with friends or on your own, we believe this night will be something that the Lord will reveal Himself through.

Event Details:

  • Pre-hang starts at 6:30 PM

  • Worship begins at 8:00 PM

We will have pop-up vendors—including thrifting, accessories, and ministry partners. We’ll also have food and drinks available, creating space for everyone to hang out, build community, all before going in to experience an incredible night of worship.

  • Warrior Welcome is your official start to life at Jessup. It includes move-in, check-in, community events, student connection opportunities, and helpful sessions to get you ready for your first week of classes.

  • Warrior Welcome begins in August before classes start.

  • All incoming students should participate, including:

    • New residential students

    • First-year students

  • No. Warrior Welcome is for all new students. Residential students will also complete housing check-in and move into their room. Commuter students will still have check-in steps and welcome events.

    • Saturday Excursions (family planned)

    • Sunday Morning Church on campus, and Sunday Brunch.

  • The Warrior Walk is a meaningful Jessup tradition where new students are celebrated and welcomed into the Jessup community. Families are invited to participate in this special moment as students begin their journey as Warriors.

  • The MUGing is one of Jessup’s Warrior Welcome traditions and a fun way for students and families to experience campus culture together. More details will be shared during Warrior Welcome, but families can expect it to be a memorable and meaningful part of the weekend, and students will leave with Jessup memorabilia.

  • At the Crossroads cafe, of course. Enjoy the food your Warrior enjoys all year long.

  • Upon arrival, our Jessup team will direct you where to go for welcome, unloading, and parking. 

  • Yes. Parents and family members are welcome to help with move-in. Some Warrior Welcome events may be student-focused, while others may include family participation or helpful parent information.

  • Students should review the official “What to Bring” list before packing. Common items include bedding, towels, toiletries, laundry supplies, school supplies, room organization items, and personal essentials.

  • Parents should plan to help their student check in, unload, get settled, and participate in any parent/family portions of the day.

    We would love for you to stay until Sunday brunch.

  • Yes! Fellow Warriors will be greeting students during selected check-in times, and our goal is that each family will carry minimal to no boxes at all!

  • We will send out information before the move-in weekend. That being said, you can always stay up to date at jessupstudentlife.com, or you can always reach out via email to studentlife@jessup.edu.

  • There will be a clear point in the Warrior Welcome schedule when the family portion concludes, and students transition into student-only programming. We encourage families to participate through Sunday brunch and then allow their student to continue the Warrior Welcome experience with their peers and get ready for class on Monday morning. 

    This goodbye moment can be emotional, and that is okay. Our team is ready to support students as they take this important next step.
