Meal Plans

All full time Jessup students are required to participate in a campus meal plan and must elect a plan from the list of available options.

Important Information

All full-time Multnomah Campus of Jessup University students are required to participate in a campus meal plan and must elect a plan from the list of available options corresponding to their housing assignment (see below).

Exceptions may be made for medical reasons. Multnomah Campus Disability Support Services (DSS) office provides reasonable accommodations to assist college students with disabilities in having equal access to regular college programs and activities. Accommodations are determined individually for each student through an interactive process and are based on functional limitations resulting from a documented disability. Food service will not be available during Thanksgiving, Christmas break, or spring break.

Multnomah Campus students will receive the amount of their chosen meal plan as credit on their University Student ID card to be used for the purchase of food with Pioneer starting with dinner on the Sunday before classes begin. All credits towards weekly meal plans will be voided on the last day of finals at the end of each term. All credits towards flex plans will be voided upon the close of the Academic year.

  • All full time Jessup University TRAD (Traditional Undergraduate Students) are required to have a meal plan. Commuters may choose the appropriate Commuter plans and all Residential students choose based on their living area and/or class level.

  • Unused Block Meal swipes are lost at the end of the semester

  • Unused Weekly Meal swipes are lost at the end/beginning of each week

  • Unused Flex dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester

  • Flex dollars will be voided upon the close of the Academic Year

  • Students may use up to four swipes within a single day

How Meal Plans Work:

  • The Weekly 19:

    This plan includes a meal swipe for every single meal period, a total of 19 for the week, every week of the semester. Unused Weekly Meal swipes are lost at the end/beginning of each week. Only one meal swipe per meal period.

    *This plan is required for all first year freshmen.

  • The Weekly 15:

    This plan includes a total of 15 meal swipes for the week, every week of the semester. This plan also includes $100 in Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars can be used in either the Cafeteria or The Shack. Unused Weekly Meal swipes are lost at the end/beginning of each week. Unused Flex dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester. Flex dollars will be voided upon the close of the Academic Year. Only one meal swipe per meal period.

  • The 75 Block:

    This plan includes a total of 75 meal swipes for the entire semester. This plan also includes $100 in Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars can be used in either the Cafeteria or The Shack. Unused Block Meal swipes are lost at the end of the semester. Unused Flex dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester. Flex dollars will be voided upon the close of the Academic Year.

    *This plan is only applicable to Commuters and Apartment residents.

  • The 40 Block:

    This plan includes a total of 40 meal swipes for the entire semester. This plan also includes $100 in Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars can be used in either the Cafeteria or The Shack. Unused Block Meal swipes are lost at the end of the semester. Unused Flex dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester. Flex dollars will be voided upon the close of the Academic Year.

    *This plan is only applicable to Commuters and Apartment residents.

  • The 175 Flex:

    This plan includes a total of $175 in Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars can be used in either the Cafeteria or The Shack. Unused Flex dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester. Flex dollars will be voided upon the close of the Academic Year.

    *This plan is entirely flex dollars and cannot be used for meal exchanges. Only applicable to Commuter students.

Requesting A Meal Plan Change

To upgrade your meal plan, please email housing@multnomah.edu requesting to do so.

  • To view your meal plan balance, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to Meal Plan Balance 

    2. Enter your First & Last name along with your Student ID number

  • The Mane Hall is the main hub for student meals.. The Dining Hall is located in the JCA Student Center on the main floor.

    Roger’s Cafe is located on the west end of the JCA Student Center, adjacent to the Student Lounge.

  • Mane Dining Hall:

    Monday – Friday
    Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
    Dinner: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

    Saturday
    Dinner:  4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

    Sunday
    Dinner: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

    Monday – Friday
    7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m..

    Saturday & Sunday
    Brunch: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    Meal Plan Change Deadlines:
    Fall: August 15
    Spring: January 1

    If a meal plan is not selected by the deadline your meal plan will be defaulted to the following:

    The deadline to choose or change meal plans is August 15th in the fall and January 1st in the Spring. Meal plans will default to the following:

    • Freshman: 19 Weekly

    • Residence Halls: 15 Weekly

    • Apartments: 40 Block

    • Commuter: Flex Only
