Once they move in and remain in housing through Week 5, qualifying credits are applied.

THE DETAILS

  • A qualified new resident must be a true new Spring housing resident who was not already contracted for Spring housing. Qualified students who sign a new Spring-only housing contract receive a $200 Spring Housing Credit.

  • Current residential students can earn a $200 Spring Housing Credit for each qualified new resident they refer, up to 5 referrals ($1,000 maximum). The new resident must identify their referrer during the Spring-only Housing Application. Only one resident can receive credit for each new resident, and referrals cannot be added after the student signs their housing contract.

  • Referral and Community Challenge credits are applied after Week 5 of Spring 2027. Referred students must have moved in and still be actively living in Jessup housing at that time for the referral to qualify.

  • All eligible returning Spring residents can earn an additional housing credit based on the number of qualified new residents who actually move into campus housing:

    25 new residents → $50
    50 new residents → $100
    75 new residents → $150
    100 new residents → $200

    Referral credits and the Community Challenge stack, so residents who refer a new resident can receive both.

  • Housing credits apply toward Spring housing charges only. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot create a cash refund to the student.
